FAQ

All soaps are not the same. In fact most store bought soaps contain detergents, alcohol, solvents and harsh chemicals. Our soaps contain the highest quality oils and fats. They are all vegetable ingredients in origin. Our soap recipes are selected to be extremely beneficial to the skin. Once you’ve bathed with our soaps you’ll never go back to a store bought bar of soap again. We make soap in small batches to insure quality of soap with the cold process method and natural air drying thus creating a gentle and moisturizing bar for your skin.

While we cannot make any medicinal claims for our soaps due to FDA restrictions, we can tell you that our Tea Tree and Eucalyptus, Grain filled Honeysuckle and Lavender Soap have all been reported as highly effective by customers with sensitive or troubled skin.

Here is a quick glossary for all ingredients:

Additives: Additives are the all natural herbs and each is used for their wonderful different qualities such as soothing and invigorating. Some of the additives used are lavender buds, calendula flowers, peppermint leaves, poppy seeds, flax seeds, rose petals, oatmeal, oat bran & wheat bran, nettle leaves, yogurt powder, honey powder. Used in Rose Best All Natural and Handmade Soaps.

Beeswax: A substance produced by bees to build honeycombs. In Chinese medicine, beeswax is dissolved in hot wine and taken as treatment for Diarrhea, hiccups and pain. Used in Rose Best Lip Balms & Body Butters.

Castor oil: A pale-colored oil extracted from castor oil beans, the seeds of the castor oil plant. When used in cosmetics it acts as a humectant and it attracts and retains moisture to the skin. It is used medicinally for centuries for lacerations and other skin disorder such as psoriasis. Used in Rose Best Lip Balms & All Natural and Handmade Soap.

Clays: They have many benefits. They absorb impurities and draw out oils from the skin and scalp. They gently clean and exfoliate skin. Used in Rose Best Rose Soaps.

Cocoa butter: A pale yellow fat obtained from dried and naturally fermented cocoa beans. It lays down a protective layer that holds moisture to the skin making it a good skin softener and rich moisturizer. It reduces dryness and increases skin flexibility. Used in Rose Best Body Butters & Lip Balms.

Coconut oil: Oil obtained from the fruit of the coconut palm, one of the most important tropical crops. It is a light and penetrating oil. It is an emollient, a moisturizer, it conditions and protects skin. Used in Rose Best All Natural and Handmade Soaps.

Dead Sea Salt: Rich in mineral content. It is used to detoxify the body from impurities and helps relax. Many use it as a relief from Psorisis. Used in Rose Best Bath Scrubs.

Essential Oils: Natural living essences extracted (usually Distilled) directly from real plants. They are Volatile natural plant essences of a particular fragrant nature which also contain medicinal properties of the plant from which it is distilled. They have been used for centuries for their healing qualities. Used in Rose Best All Natural Soaps, Peppermint Lip Balm, Body Butters, Eye Mask and Sugar Scrubs.

European Spa salt: European spa salt is harvested from the crystal clear waters of the Mediterranean Sea. European spa salt is evaporated to a sparkling white by the sun and ocean air. European Spas are famous for their in-depth knowledge of natural healing and therapy. Used in Rose Best Bath Scrubs.

Flax seeds: It is rich in essential fatty acids. It is high in Vitamin E and stimulates cellular regeneration and is useful for preventing scarring. Used in Rose Best Eye Masks.

Fragrance Oils: A blend of synthetic and/or natural ingredients creating a specific fragrance. Used in some Rose Best Soaps, Body Butters.

Kokum butter: Derived from India. It is an amazing unrefined butter that is more emollient than other butters and has healing properties, healps prevent drying of skin and regenerates skin cells.It is non pore clogging and contains antioxidant properties. It softens skin and restores skin flexibility. Used in Rose Best All Natural Body Butter & All Natural Foot Scrubs.

Lye: The common term for caustic alkali used to make soap. If soap is done well it evaporates when soap is finally produced and hence not mentioned in the labels. Used in Rose Best All Natural Soaps and Handmade Soaps.

Mango Butter: It is an exotic butter and a super skin emollient. Mango butter is obtained from the fruit seed of the Mangifera Indica (Mango Tree) native to the tropics. It is high in stearic acid, with a natural slight sweet scent & it has a high oxidative ability. It is known to have UV radiation protective properties and may help with protection against the sun and extreme weather conditions. It is wonderful to use in wound and burn healing products along with aiding in the reduction of scars. Used in Rose Best Body Butters.

Olive oil: Oil pressed from the fruit of the olive tree. It is an excellent moisturizer because it attracts and holds moisture close to the skin and forms a breathable film to prevent loss of internal moisture. It is good oil for skin care, especially mature, inflamed or dry skin, as it provides disinfectant, antiwrinkle and wound healing properties. Used in Rose Best All Natural and Handmade Soaps.

Palm oil: Oil from the fruit of a palm tree. It is generally non toxic and non sensitizing. Used in Rose Best All Natural and Handmade Soaps.

Shea Butter: It is also known as African Butter. It is a wonderful moisture retainer and has skin softening properties. Traditionally it is used to treat dry skin, blemishes, skin discoloration, scars and wrinkles. Used in Rose Best All Natural and Handmade Soaps, and Rose Best Body Butters.

Sweet Almond oil: An oil expressed from the nuts of the sweet almond tree. It is an excellent emollient to help the skin balance the loss and absorption of moisture. It has a fine texture and is easily absorbed, helping to leave the skin soft and smooth without the greasy feeling. It also acts as a conditioner to help promote clear, young looking complexion. Used in Rose Best Soaps & Lip Balms.

Vitamin E: It is known for its healing effects and is proven to help prevent scarring and speed healing. Used in Rose Best Body Butters.

Wheat germ oil: The oil is made form the germ of the wheat and is rich in fats which help moisturize the skin. It is very high in Vitamin E. It is said to promote a smoother, younger looking skin, assisting in healing scar tissue as well as stretch marks. Used in Rose Best Body Butters.

Yes, we do, give us a call. All special orders and customized favors are not returnable or refundable after final customer approval is made. We do our best to make sure you get it the way you want it. Charges vary based on the product and quantity.

We accept Visa, MC, AMX and other credit cards with Square and it is very secure. We accept money orders and personal checks. Personal checks are subject to ten days clearance before the order is mailed out.

Shipping charges are $7.99 flat rate till order of $50. It is $13.99 for order over $50. Shipping is free for order $100 or more. Please be sure to double check your address. If the package is sent out with the incorrect address provided by you and it is returned to us, you are responsible for the reshipping cost.

Yes, you can. If the shipping address is separate from the billing address then we do not put the invoice in the packet and mail it out separately to you. Make sure you mention it in the comment section.

We will not disclose, share, sell, lease or otherwise divulge any personal information we collect form our customers for any reason unless requested to do so by law. We respect every person’s right to privacy and take extra measures to protect it.
