Every Rose Best product is made with halal ingredients, no alcohol, and no artificial color. Here is what that means and why it matters for your skin.
A young boy came at the Farmers Market looking for a gift for his mother. She is allergic to red dye, and he had been reading labels on everything, trying to find something safe. When I told him every product in the display is made without color, so he could pick anything he wanted for her, his whole face changed, he was ecstatic that he could choose anything he liked without thinking on it. That moment is the best explanation of why I make things the way I do.
Here is what is not in a Rose Best product, and why.
No artificial color. Dye does nothing for your skin. It exists to make a product look nice on a shelf, and for people with dye allergies it can mean a reaction. Our turmeric soap is golden because turmeric is golden. That is the only kind of color you will find here.
No alcohol. Many skincare companies use alcohol as a drying agent. It is cheap and it makes a product feel like it absorbs quickly, but it pulls moisture out of your skin. Skincare that dries your skin is working against you.
Halal ingredients only. Halal skincare is hard to find, and for many of my customers it matters deeply. It also means the ingredient list stays clean by default, because alcohol and many animal derived additives are already off the table.
No parabens, no phthalates, no sodium lauryl sulfate. These are common in commercial products. They are not in mine.
Reading a label should not require a chemistry degree. On our products, the ingredient list is short enough to read out loud: oils, butters, essential oils, botanicals. If you or someone you love has sensitive skin or a dye allergy, everything in the shop is safe to choose from.
