Caramel with chocolate under it. Salted Caramel with a chocolate drizzle to give it some depth. The cocoa powder in the bar adds a little of its own scent too, which is why the chocolate reads as real rather than candy.

Both scents are fragrance oils, so this bar is from the Handcrafted line.

Cold processed in small batches at my shop in Farmington, Michigan, then air dried for one month. Commercial soap is vat dried, which pulls the glycerin out. Air drying keeps it in the bar. Glycerin is a humectant, so it draws moisture toward your skin instead of stripping it.

Wheat bran gives this one a light scrub as you wash. Not harsh, but you feel it.

Moringa and cocoa powder color this bar, so there is no dye in it. Moringa is traditionally valued in skincare for its vitamins and antioxidants, though in a bar you rinse off, what it mainly gives you here is the color.

Part of the fall collection. Seasonal, and it goes away when the season does.

Made without palm oil, dye, alcohol, parabens, SLS, or phthalates. Halal ingredients. Vegan. Contains wheat.

How to use

Wet your skin, rub the bar on, and lather for a few moments before rinsing with warm water. Store it on a draining dish in a cool spot.

Questions

What is cold process soap?
Oils and butters are combined with lye, which triggers saponification. The lye is fully consumed in that reaction, so there is none left in the finished bar. I cure each batch for four weeks before it goes on the shelf.

Is it gentle enough for sensitive skin?
It is made without parabens, SLS, phthalates, or dye, which covers the most common irritants. The wheat bran makes it exfoliating, so it suits body more than face. Read the full ingredient list first if you have a known allergy.

How long does a bar last?
About three weeks if you keep it dry between uses. A bar sitting in a puddle goes much faster. We sell an alder wood soap dish for $5 that solves this.
